What I've learned
This digital sculpture of Smolder (a character from League of Legends) was created with Nomad Sculpt on iPad, a mobile alternative to ZBrush. The project was an intensive study of volumes and silhouettes.
My primary goal was to master the “big-to-small” workflow, a sculpting technique that involves first blocking out the major shapes and volumes to establish the overall structure and proportion, before progressively refining smaller details. This approach ensures the character’s weight and primary forms are accurate before moving into the refinement and high-fidelity detailing stages. This exercise significantly deepened my understanding of how to establish a strong structural foundation in a stylized character.
